  • Increasingly, the use of smart devices and supporting algorithms and AI is becoming commonplace in many everyday areas of life. But what happens when AIs make or "give advice" for morally relevant decisions in critical situations? What effects does the option to delegate such decisions have on humans? In addition to autonomous driving, examples of applications could include court judgments, where algorithms could be used. Another application example is suggesting treatment options for medically challenging cases. Should an algorithm be consulted, and if so, in what form? Focus may be effects on fairness and welfare as well as acceptance or ethical aspects. The aim is to develop a behavioral study in this area.
