Advice on password management is diverse and procedures how users decide which advice to follow are not well documented outside of lab studies. To gain a deeper understanding of the password management habits and strategies as well as the factors involved in shaping these habits and strategies, the goal of this thesis is to collect data in the field through a diary study, capturing e.g. the sentiments, procedures, and used technologies employed by users.
